- Select manufacturers of low-cost and high-performance chips or packaged devices, such as DFB lasers, EMLs, VCSELs, MZMs, APDs, drivers, TIAs, and CDR circuits, as well as TOSA/ROSA/BOSA components. These selections are based on the client's specific needs and requirements of each project.
- Conduct RF and high-speed circuit analysis, simulation, and design to improve signal integrity and overall performance of optoelectronic components and modules. This includes modeling and simulation of circuit and device performance, as well as design and testing to ensure optimal performance in high-speed applications.
- Organize and participate in engineering reviews to evaluate high-speed PCB layout, flexible printed circuit design, chip wire bonding, and optoelectronic component assembly processes. These reviews involve cross-functional teams and provide guidance on best practices for high-speed optoelectronic component design and assembly.
- Establish R&D testing labs and develop detailed DVT plans to validate the performance of high-speed optoelectronic components and modules. These labs and plans are used to ensure that components and modules meet the required specifications and standards.
- Develop NPI programs for optical components and modules, and lead multi-functional teams across global sites to ensure successful product transfers. These programs involve coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure that all aspects of the product development process are completed on time and to the required quality standards
